Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones is a 2014 supernatural-horror film and the found footage format Latino-themed spin-off of the Paranormal Activity franchise. The film revolve around the story that begins in June 2012 at a party in Oxnard, California. When a woman dies in the apartment beneath the party, some party goers take their camera to investigate. They discover items associated with black magic rituals, even the missing tapes from Paranormal Activity 3. When Jesse, the lead protagonist of the movie, discovers an inhuman bite mark on his arm, strange forces pursue him while loved ones of Jesse attempt to save him. The The Marked Ones stars Andrew Jacobs, Richard Cabral, Carlos Pratts, Gabrielle Walsh, Jorge Diaz, Catherine Toribio, Noemi Gonzalez, Gigi Feshold, David Saucedo, Julian Works, Molly Ephraim, and Chloe Csengery. It’s a step-up over the fourth, but it’s still a far cry from the first. “The Marked Ones” succeeds, I believe because it is content with being a straightforward horror film with no pretences beyond that of frightening its audience. Nevertheless, even if it aspires to be nothing more than a simple horror flick, it falls short in providing consistently thrilling moments to warrant a fifth instalment in the franchise. Fans of the “Paranormal Activity” series will be the target audience for this film, and if you fall into that category, you’ll enjoy it because not only does it follow the same exact formula as the previous films in the franchise but also expands on the world they’ve already established and includes a satisfying twist at the end. ___ Rating: **5.2/10** *(Nothing Remarkable)*

It wasn't a bad movie, but it doesn't really go with the other 4. It went to like a completely different type of movie. Until the end where it looked like the ending was forced to interact with the others.
